Instructional Designer, eLearning Developer & Trainer

Learning Instructional Design from videos and tutorials can be useful.

I use tutorials myself when I need to learn something new.

But there is another problem that becomes obvious when you are trying to build professional skills:

What do you do when you get stuck?

You can search Google.

You can watch another YouTube video.

You can read documentation.

Or you can ask someone who has actually worked on similar projects.

That is where 1-on-1 Instructional Design training can be useful.

I provide personalized live online training for people who want to learn Instructional Design, eLearning development, professional tools, AI workflows, portfolio development or specific project skills.

The biggest difference from a generic course is simple:

The training can be built around you.

Who should consider 1-on-1 Instructional Design training?

You don’t need to be a complete beginner.

I work with different types of learners, including:

Graduates and beginners

You may be starting from zero and want to understand what an Instructional Designer actually does.

In that case, we can begin with the fundamentals.

Career switchers

You may already have experience in teaching, training, HR, content, technology or another area and want to move into Instructional Design.

The focus can be on filling the specific knowledge and skills gaps between your current role and your target role.

Working professionals

You may already be working in L&D or eLearning and want to become stronger in specific areas.

Instructional Designers

You may already know the fundamentals but want help with advanced tools, learning design, accessibility, assessment, AI or portfolio improvement.

eLearning developers

You may be comfortable developing courses but want to strengthen your understanding of the Instructional Design side.

Freelancers

You may know the tools but need help understanding project workflows, proposals, portfolio positioning, client communication or project delivery.

Why 1-on-1 can be different from a normal course

In a group session, the trainer has to consider the needs of everyone.

That is often useful.

But it also means the pace is shared.

In a 1-on-1 session, we can spend more time on a topic when you need it.

For example, a learner may say:

“I understand Storyline basics, but I don’t understand variables.”

Another might say:

“I need to create a branching scenario for my portfolio.”

Another may already know Storyline and only want help improving the instructional design behind the interaction.

Another person may not even need Storyline yet.

They may need help understanding ADDIE, needs analysis, learning objectives and storyboarding first.

Those are very different requirements.

A personalized session can respond to those differences.

What can I learn in 1-on-1 Instructional Design training?

The programme can include Instructional Design theory and practical work.

Depending on your goals, we can cover:

  • Instructional Design fundamentals
  • ADDIE
  • SAM
  • Adult learning
  • Learning theories
  • Learner analysis
  • Needs analysis
  • Performance analysis
  • Learning objectives
  • Bloom’s Taxonomy
  • Instructional strategies
  • Assessment
  • Evaluation
  • Storyboarding
  • HLD and LLD
  • eLearning design
  • Accessibility
  • Scenario-based learning
  • Portfolio development
  • Interview preparation

If you want to focus on development, we can also work on professional tools.

1-on-1 Storyline 360 training

Storyline is one of the tools I receive questions about most often.

Depending on your level, training can include:

  • Storyline interface
  • Slides and scenes
  • Layers
  • States
  • Triggers
  • Conditions
  • Variables
  • Motion paths
  • Interactions
  • Custom interactions
  • Branching
  • Scenarios
  • Assessments
  • Question banks
  • Result slides
  • Simulation
  • Accessibility
  • Publishing
  • Testing

But I don’t want the training to become a list of software buttons.

I want you to understand when and why you would use a particular feature in an actual learning project.

For example, knowing how variables work is useful.

Understanding when a variable is the right solution for a learning interaction is much more useful.

1-on-1 Camtasia training

Camtasia is another tool where personalized training can be particularly useful.

We can work on:

  • Screen recording
  • Recording techniques
  • Editing
  • Timeline management
  • Audio
  • Voice-over
  • Captions
  • Annotations
  • Zooming
  • Cursor effects
  • Callouts
  • Transitions
  • Video structure
  • Export settings
  • Instructional video design

The goal is not simply to make a video.

It is to make a useful instructional video.

That means the instructional structure matters as much as the editing.

Camtasia training

AI training for Instructional Designers

AI is becoming part of learning-development workflows.

But I don’t recommend using AI simply because everybody else is using it.

We can explore practical use cases for tools such as:

  • ChatGPT
  • Claude
  • Microsoft Copilot
  • Synthesia
  • ElevenLabs
  • AI-assisted content development
  • AI-assisted analysis
  • AI-assisted scripting
  • AI-assisted brainstorming
  • AI-assisted multimedia production

The question I want you to ask is:

Where does AI actually make the workflow better?

Not:

Where can I insert AI into the workflow?

That distinction matters.

Portfolio coaching

One of the strongest reasons to choose 1-on-1 training is portfolio development.

You may already have several projects but not know how to present them.

Or you may have no professional project experience and need to build realistic samples.

We can work on projects such as:

  • Course outlines
  • Storyboards
  • HLDs
  • eLearning samples
  • Storyline interactions
  • Rise courses
  • Videos
  • Scenarios
  • Assessments
  • Case studies

Then the important part starts:

How do you explain the project?

A portfolio is not just a gallery.

A hiring manager should understand your thinking.

Interview preparation

Instructional Design interviews often require more than explaining what ADDIE stands for.

You may be asked:

How would you approach a new training requirement?

How would you deal with an SME who gives you too much content?

How do you decide whether something should be eLearning or instructor-led?

How do you write measurable objectives?

How would you design a scenario?

How do you handle conflicting stakeholder feedback?

Why did you choose this interaction?

How do you make your eLearning accessible?

How would you test your course before publishing it?

These are the types of questions for which practical preparation helps.

Can an experienced professional take 1-on-1 training?

Yes.

In fact, experienced learners often benefit because they can skip topics they already know.

For example:

Someone may need only advanced Storyline.

Someone else may need only accessibility.

Someone else may need AI workflows.

Someone else may need help redesigning a weak portfolio.

Someone else may want help moving from Instructional Designer to LXD or consultant.

The training can be focused accordingly.

Can I learn in Hindi?

Yes.

Live sessions can be conducted in English or Hindi, depending on the programme and learner requirement.

Many learners are comfortable with English software interfaces but prefer explanations in Hindi.

That is completely workable.

Is 1-on-1 training useful for freelancers?

Yes, particularly when the learner already knows some tools but doesn’t understand how freelance projects work.

There is a difference between:

“I know Storyline.”

and

“I can receive a client requirement, understand the problem, clarify scope, design a solution, create the assets, communicate revisions and deliver the final project professionally.”

Freelancing requires the second skill set.

That is something we can work on through practical examples and project-focused coaching.

What is the difference between 1-on-1 training and the full bootcamp?

The full bootcamp is designed as a broader structured pathway.

It can cover:

Instructional Design theory → eLearning → tools → AI → projects → portfolio → career preparation

1-on-1 training is more personalised.

It can cover the complete pathway, or only the areas where you need support.

For a beginner, I may recommend a structured foundation.

For an experienced professional, I may recommend a focused plan.

There is no reason for someone with five years of experience to spend weeks learning things they already know.

My approach to 1-on-1 training

I don’t want sessions to become lectures where I talk and you watch.

I want you to ask questions.

I want you to practice.

I want to see what you are building.

I want to understand where you are getting stuck.

And where possible, I want to work through real examples rather than imaginary software demonstrations.

That is what makes personalized training valuable.

What can we work on?

Your training can be built around:

Career transition

Instructional Design theory

eLearning development

Storyline 360

Rise 360

Camtasia

Vyond

AI tools

Portfolio development

Interview preparation

Freelancing

Specific project support

Advanced professional skills

Who I provide the training for

I provide live online training for:

  • Graduates
  • Beginners
  • Career switchers
  • Teachers
  • Trainers
  • HR professionals
  • L&D professionals
  • Instructional Designers
  • eLearning developers
  • Freelancers
  • Corporate professionals

The training is online, so learners can join from India or other countries.

Ready to discuss your training?

Before starting, I normally recommend being clear about three things:

Where are you now?

What do you want to learn?

What do you want to be able to do after the training?

Once those are clear, it becomes much easier to build the right learning path.

You may need the full Instructional Design programme.

You may need only Storyline.

You may need only Camtasia.

You may need portfolio guidance.

Or you may need a combination of all of them.

That is exactly where 1-on-1 training makes sense.
