— ANI (@ANI) June 27, 2025 The incident occurred at a private chemical firm, Sham Paints Industries, according to initial reports. Videos from the site show intense flames consuming a building, causing widespread alarm among local residents and prompting a large crowd to gather. Police have also arrived to manage the situation.
The origin of the blaze remains unknown, and officials have not yet indicated any casualties or the severity of the damage. Authorities have arrived on location, with ambulances standing by as a precautionary deployment.
This fire comes soon after another tragic fire that took four lives earlier this week in Delhi’s Rohini. On Tuesday night, a four-storey building in Rithala, which had several manufacturing units, caught fire.
The fire-fighting operation at the Rohini location was massive with around 100 staff involved and lasting close to 15 hours, finally ending around 10 AM on Wednesday. Though reports from Delhi Fire Services hinted at the possibility of the fire being caused by a employee’s attempted self-immolation, Delhi Police clarified that they have not observed such an act occurring and are waiting for a thorough report from the fire department to establish the actual cause. DNA tests are also being conducted to ascertain the identity of the four blackened bodies that were pulled from the Rithala building, which was said to be run without a fire safety certificate in a high-density residential complex.
